FEATURE POET: Nora Cooper hails from the wild forests of southern California. Occasionally she writes poems. As a member of the UCLA Slam Team, she’s competed at the College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational twice, taking 11th and 5th place respectively, and will again in April. She’s also done poems at the Texas Grand Slam, the Individual World Poetry Slam, and the Death Rattle Writer’s Festival. Her work has been featured on Button Poetry, Write About Now, SlamFind, and the online magazine “The Verve.” When she’s not grappling with existential dread in the form of writing, she’s studying the many intersections of science and society at the University of California, Los Angeles. Some of her many hobbies include sitting outside in the rain, cooking and eating pasta, interacting with dogs, and asking every person she meets if they’ve seen “Westworld.”
