Feature Poet: Alyesha Wise, was born and raised in Camden, N.J. and began writing at the age of 11. She is the Founder of "Love, Us," - a community organization created to fight injustice, while keeping Love at the forefront.

"Ms. Wise" is a 2-time Women of the World Poetry Slam finalist, a 2-time Philadelphia Grand Slam Champion & the 2014 Los Angeles Grand Slam Champion. In 2012, she was interviewed by Director & Film Producer, Ron Howard, who described her as, "Very powerful." That same year, Alyesha was awarded the first ever "Queens Inspire Kings" award, presented by Kings Rule Together, for her community and youth development in Philadelphia and beyond.

Ms. Wise is also a Teaching Artist, conducting youth and adult workshops from Beaufort, South Carolina to Leeds, England. Her work has been used as part of the Creative Writing lesson plan at Holy Cross High, in South Jersey since 2010.
