Bowery Poetry, 308 Bowery, NYC (map)

This time, our hero is Kodhai, a feisty, beautiful girl; the setting is 8th Century South India; and the love story, a little more complicated. We hope you'll let us tell you how things play out.

Harikatha is the the Indian art of storytelling that mixes story with song, philosophy, scripture, and more. Typically a one-man-show, we are a troupe of three who will bring you the best story, the best music, and the best percussion you've ever heard converge in one performance. Listen for the song that talks to the drums; for the drums that echo the words; for the words that set off another song, and watch this cycle play on as we tell you a 90-minute long story!
