Book Launch & Signing Event!

Dazz and All That Jazz is a recently published poetry book written by Haitian-American author Sabine Simon, aka Dazz. The book covers many aspects of life relating to spirituality, mental health, women empowerment, domestic violence, cancer, motivation, self-love and romantic love. The book will be launched by having talented actors and poets from New York perform live on stage selected contents from it. This event will allow us to speak about these life dynamics as the voices of the unheard. It will also allow us the opportunity to give some statistics and facts on these ongoing social issues. The show ends with a marriage scene that talks about love and how we all need love in order to grow and appreciate its importance in our lives in spite of our everyday pain, hurt and sorrow. Love has no color.

Guest audiences will be able to take pictures with author and actors after the show and have their books signed. If you do not yet have a copy of the book, you can purchase at the show or online at: Like our Facebook page to get updates for future performances.

About the Author: Sabine Simon is of Haitian descent born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She also goes by Dazz-a name that came out in 1997 when she was looking to sign up for a yahoo email account and it has since been her signature gig name. She enjoys writing skits, poems and plays during her pastime- when inspired that is and hence birthed her very first poetry book “Dazz & All that Jazz”. Having never taken writing class for poetry, she writes without having a particular style or parameter. “Dazz & All that Jazz” is about being all over the place with thoughts on paper. Some of the poems are inspirational, some are written by requests, and some are personal experiences. The majority of the poems, however, fantasize about the man she never had, the man she wished she had or the man who’s playing games. Her compilation started in 1996 and has had different poets recite them at various special events and poetry lounge.

Sabine is also an entrepreneur, Founder and Director of Haitian Americans Inspired to Influence LLC, a for-profit venture aimed to fulfill education, sustainability and humanitarian goals by operating local and international programs that make an impact on social issues. She enjoys being active in her community working with every level of leadership to accomplish any inspired goal.

You can find her on Sundays in her home church ALFWC in New Brunswick, NJ, where she serves as a Media Director when not traveling.
