Subjectivity returns to Bowery Poetry for its second run!
Subjectivity is a growing community of people who want to listen and be heard, those of us whom differ in perspective, but can still be respected. A place to not only find answers, but to provide questions that make us think differently.
We want to give a platform that creates bonds, and facilitates a comfort to be outspoken, listen, all whilst having fun in a safe and inviting space.
This event is focused on the universal aesthetic, the pressures on appearance and the lengths people are prepared to undergo due to perceptions of self beauty. We will be exploring all the forms of how we're influenced to see ourselves as attractive, and the way the media portray / use propaganda to effect us, and more importantly how we can invest in ourself so the cost of beauty isn't to the detriment of our self esteem and acceptance.
