Carlo Parcelli is Simon Kananaios as he brings his One-Apostle show to New York City for the first time. Divine Inspiration!? Or simply a case of multliple personality disorder!? You be the judge as Carlo Parcelli, channeling the spirit of the apostle Simon Kananaios aka Simon the Canaanite or Simon the Zealot, performs a selection of First Century eyewitness accounts concerning the events surrounding the untimely death of Jesus of Nazareth.

The Canaanite Gospel: A Meditation on Empire is a text comprised of 93 monologues drawn from dozens of secular and biblical sources. It's a revisionist tale of what transpired 33AD/3794 Easter Week/Passover during the reign of the Roman Emperor Tiberius. As Roy Dipsodes wrote in the Ypsilanti Courier, "It's hard to imagine a more intellectually transgressive, spiritually bereft and aggressively divisive work as "The Canaanite Gospel."
