Direct from a sold-out workshop production in the Planet Connections Festivity, THE LOST: Words + Music is a night of selections from and inspired by the new play, THE LOST (OR, HOW TO: JUST BE) by Keelay Gipson. Featuring original music + arrangements by Britton Smith.

THE LOST is the coming-of-age story of Bobby, a bright, teenaged foster kid in Harlem, whose life is set spiraling after being offered adoption by an affluent Upper East Side family. The play uses elements of rap, spoken word, and original music to tell Bobby’s story and to create an honest, sincere portrayal of life for urban youth today. THE LOST focuses on a group of inner-city teens and the very real challenges they face daily—including social inequality, sexuality, and LGBTQ issues.
