YOLANDA WISHER (http://www.yolandawisher.com) was born in the historic Germantown section of Philadelphia and raised in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, where she was named the county's first poet laureate at the age of 23. Wisher is a Cave Canem graduate and received an M.A. in Creative Writing/English from Temple University. She heads the Art Education department of the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program and is a Founding Cultural Agent for the U.S. Department of Arts and Culture. In 2013, Wisher co-edited the international anthology Peace is a Haiku Song with Sonia Sanchez. Her first book of poetry, Monk Eats an Afro, was published by Hanging Loose Press this year.

SHY CROONER & EDWIN DUKE is Nick Lenchner (Alex Bleeker and the Freaks, Bellehouse) and Bryan Schneider (Sh-Sh-Sh Shark Attack). The duo draws on folk and blues traditions to create their own brand of American music that ranges from the deeply melancholy to the hilariously absurd. Crooner & Duke have performed at a range of venues around NYC including Pianos and Tribes Gallery in the East Villlage. They've held residencies at Marius Café in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn and at the New Museum as part of Pawel Althemer’s exhibition “The Neighbors”.
