BONAFIDE ROJAS ( Bonafide Rojas is the author of “Renovatio, When The City Sleeps & Pelo Bueno”. He was born & raised in The Bronx, the founder of Grand Concourse Press & considers pizza the greatest food ever created. He’s a Yankee fan for life & loves The Beatles & Jimi Hendrix. He has appeared on “Def Poetry Jam”, the poetry documentary “Spitting Ink” & has been published in numerous anthologies & journals from “Saul William’s Presents chorus”, “bum rush the page”, “role call”, “learn then burn”, “me no habla con acento”, the centro journal, the hostos review, the acentos review, the calabash journal, letras, & palabras. He has performed internationally at venues, colleges, bars & random stages, including: New York University, Galeria De La Raza, Rotterdam Arts Center, London’s “Kid, I Wrote Back”, UC Berkeley, Da Poetry Lounge, El Museo De Barrio, Pregones Theatre, Caribbean Culture Center, Lincoln Center, Museum of The American Indian, Chicago Historical Society, LouderArts, The Acentos Poetry Series, University of Illinois-Chicago, Columbia University, & Mt. Holyoke. He is the co-bandleader of experimental rock band The Mona Passage & a founder of the art group VIKUBO.
