T'AI FREEDOM FORD ( believes in the Word. To her, writing is prayer, confession, catharsis. Every poem is scripture. Every book a hymn. Each audience a church. Every performance a testimony, a holyghost shout, a revival. t’ai performs in the name of survival knowing that silence is a rival of the Word. Over the last 20 years, t’ai has testified in colleges, bars, and living rooms all over the country bringing her personal parables of love and loss, sinning and survival, reality and redemption to the people. She tithes to the Church of the Stage as well as the Church of the Page believing that the Word must stand as text in addition to being heard.
