MAUREEN MILLER, M.D. M.P.H. is a pathology resident in New York. Her clinical research focuses on environmental origins of chronic disease, including work for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIH-NIEHS). In 2009, she helped found the popular Web annotation platform Genius (www.genius.com). Her poetry, prose, and comedy has published online in the Atlantic, Paris Review, McSweeney’s, n+1 Occupy!, Huffington Post, the Rumpus, Prelude, the Awl, and Amazon.com Kindle Singles (A Taste of My Own Medicine, 2012).
