Our featured poet this week is Mariam Bazeed.

MARIAM BAZEED is a Kuwait-born Egyptian writer, editor, and singer living in Brooklyn. She writes fiction, prose poetry, memoir, and has begun translating literary works from Arabic into English. She has been published in the collection "Arab Spring Dreams", and her short stories and poems have appear in [wherever] and In the Flesh. Mariam thinks deeply about words as sounds, and strives to bring the musicality of her native Arab tongue to the English she writers sentences with.
