Theatre of the Oppressed NYC presents plays by the Ali Forney Center & The Door - A Center of Alternatives Theatrical Troupes. These two ensembles of young New Yorkers address issues of homelessness, homophobia and transphobia, racism and ageism in complex, hilarious, and moving plays based on the actors' own experiences. Each short performance, created and performed by the ensemble, will be followed by collective problem-solving onstage around the issues presented in the play. With opening musical acts by queer folk duo Anna/Kate.
Sliding scale admission, $10-20. Tickets sold at the door.
