POETRY, HUMOR, STORIES, MUSIC & MATCHA
They say when Mercury, the planet of communication, goes into retrograde, it's an opportunity to look back and reflect. The Haiku Guys & Gals and Bowery Poetry invite you to take an afternoon at The Alchemist's Kitchen to appreciate our pasts, so we can move forward into the future.
Anyone is welcome to share in whatever medium - old journals from middle school, poetry from college, jokes about your ancient history, songs written after your first breakup. If you definitely want to perform something, let us know in the notes, and if you're not sure, arrive early because we'll leave some slots open day-of.
Guests will be greeted with a Mercury Retrograde grounding tonic shot from The Alchemist's Kitchen and a phone cleanse from Spruce & Co.
Come hungry and ready to replenish, because our hosts have a gorgeous selection of house-made tonics and elixirs and raw vegan bites will be available for purchase. Food and drink unlike you've ever tried before, trust us. And the innovative new tea company MA MATCHA pop-up #6 in the East Village! will be popping up in the cafe with specialty matcha drinks to fuel your creative energy.
We'll update features and performers as we confirm them.
