In this series of encounters, alumni of EMERGENYC, a program for arts and activism run by the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics will mix with activists and performers from across NYC’s political and performance communities. Celebrating vital voices from different backgrounds, ages, genders and genres, SUBMERGE will confront issues of race, class, sexuality, migration and other topics that are often absent from the city’s other stages.
