Performed as a benefit for organizations advocating for gun control and victims of gun violence, "hurt people" uses poetry, media, and dynamic movement to tell a story behind the headlines.

When Sara's high school is the target of a mass shooting, she is separated from her twin sister and forced to live with her estranged ex-military aunt. A piece of national news breaks, inspiring Sara to want to protect the future and right the past.

Representatives from Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and Gays Against Guns NYC [link their websites-- pasted below] will participate in a post-show talkback, directing the community towards resources on how to get involved.
