Born in Toronto, J. MAE BARIZO (www.jmaebarizo.com) is a poet, critic and performer. Recent work appears in AGNI, Bookforum, Boston Review and Los Angeles Review of Books. She is the recipient of fellowships and awards from Bennington College, the Jerome Foundation and Poets House. A classically-trained musician and a champion of cross-genre work, J. Mae has performed sound/text collaborations with musicians from The National, Bon Iver, and the American String Quartet. The Cumulus Effect, published by Four Way Books in 2015, is her first book. She lives in New York City.

MAYA PINDYCK (www.mayapindyck.com) is a poet and visual artist. Her first collection of poetry, Friend Among Stones, won the Many Voices Project Award from New Rivers Press, and her chapbook, Locket, Master, received a Poetry Society of America Chapbook Fellowship. Emoticoncert, her most recent poetry collection, was published by Four Way Books in 2016. She is the recipient of grants and awards from the Historic House Trust of New York City’s Contemporary Art Partnerships Program, the Abortion Conversation Project, Squaw Valley Writers, and the Vermont Studio Center. Currently a doctoral candidate at Columbia University’s Teachers College, she lives in Brooklyn.
